The Blue Mountains

This is your sweet escape only few hours drive from Sydney. We decided to head to the Blue Mountains national park as part of our road trip. As an outdoorsy person I like to explore every bit of the wilderness I can find, and this one did not disappoint. Though some people might tell you this is a touristic area, we are talking about miles of untamed wild landscapes, nothing to be worried about. The Blue mountains are majestic and I cannot recommend it enough.

We experienced it in a different way but it turned out to be something very special. The rain, the fog and the cloudy weather gave us a spectacular and mystic feeling. Something really raw emerged from our two days hiking through the woods. The Blue mountains got their name from the expansive eucalypt forests creating a striking blue haze that envelop the area.

There is something really unique about being there, everywhere you look turns out to be a scenic view point, every path you take leads to picturesque views. Be prepared to be blown away. The Blue haze seen on top of the mountain is quite captivating, it feels like you are out of this world for a moment, alone and to be frank it is quite addictive.

“Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit”

If you plan on going to the Blue Mountains park I would advise you to spend at least 2 days, there are so many things to do; either you are a kid fascinated about dinosaurs (head to Scenic World) or an avid trekker, you will find something for you.

Far from the beaches of the Australian Coast, this is  proof that Australia has a lot to offer. The variety of its landscapes, wildlife is beyond incredible. I wanted to experience it all!

We stayed in the little town of Katoomba for the night and had the best dinner @Leuragarage, the Blue Mountains best kept secret.

It’s something you need to see for yourself, a place that you will cherish forever.

Love,

A
